Unusual symptoms

Hello all.

I have had pancreatitis for over 4 years since my first and only acute attack. I was 32. My pancreas hymmorgaed and I went unconscious for several days. Definitely near death. I have avoided these forums because the stories scare me, to be very honest.

I now have CP and the 1 diabetes. From the first acute attack, I also developed a pseudo cyst that eventually filled my entire abdomen. I had an external drain in place that removed the fluid about 2 years ago.

My diet is near perfect regarding fat (almost none) and processed foods. I no longer drink alcohol either.

My recent symptoms are pain in my mid back, like last time, but also different. There is almost more pain in my lower back, on both side equally.

Also, I have pain in the front lower left abdomen where the pseudo cyst was/is.

However, my enzyme levels are very low. I haven't had a scan in over a year, so that is due.

But could this be anything else? Do these symptoms sound familiar to you all? I also practice yoga a lot, and have not felt that I have the muscle strength to do it much in a couple of weeks.

The pain is not off the charts. I know what that feels like. This is probably level 5-6 pain, but it is keeping me from sleeping tonight.

    Hi James,

I am sorry you are going through this. It's not nice for anyone. I don't have any advice for you but there is a group on Facebook called pancreatitis pals. I don't know if you have already joined it, that's if you are on Facebook. These people are in a similar situation to yourself and they have lots of knowledge and help between them. I would recommend you have a look if you can.

    Take care!

I agree with Gem    go to facebook and join Pancreatitis Pals      they will have answers for you. Congrats on doing as well as you are. The cyst development as you know is very serious. My husband had the worst case of pancreatitis that our local well known hospital had ever seen.  Hoping you feel less pain soon   JF
