Unusual Symptoms

I'm a healthy 47 year old woman who is experiencing some unusual perimenopsal symptoms. To give a brief background, I stopped menstruating in April 2022. I was actually looking forward to it for several reasons...saving money, not having the inconvenience at work, etc. In early August I had what is called a flash period. It was so sudden and unusually heavy that I could not leave my house the first day because I was bleeding through each hour. My period was five days instead of seven. Fast forward to now, I am having the following symptoms: insomnia (very little sleep the past three nights), migraine, tintinus, unexplained brusing, and excessive sweating. I'll spare you the details, but suffice it to say, I'd probably be asked to unboard a plane until I freshened up. Has anyone else experienced any of these symptoms? Are there any effective natural remedies? I just don't know if any of this should warrant a doctor's visit. Thank you in advance for your insight and advice.

Those are normal peri symptoms. Heavy periods are common especially when you have had several skipped ones. The uterus lining has built up and has to shed. It's horrible and frightening but quite common. When I had those times I took iron.

Insomnia is caused by the drop in estrogen. This is probably the most common symptom in peri.

Lots & lots of posts over here about tintinus. I suffer from it too. I do have hearing damage also. It doesn't bother me as most women who go through it.

Bruising- Also quite common. Once again estrogen not coating our skin in all that good stuff. Our skin becomes thinner. You will get unexplained bruising, hives, hair loss, dry skin, itchy skin. It runs the gamut. I go through a lot of this. I am always finding a new bruise now.

Sweating- I sweat more than my husband who has a hard physical job. I am drenched all the time. Perfectly normal. There are some good studies out now why our hot flashes cause this.

Black Cohosh- If you have liver issues you need to avoid it. It does help. Evening Primrose Oil, Magnesium, Chamomile Tea (Avoid if you have a ragweed allergy). All these are super helpful to ease symptoms. It won't make them go away. Only thing that will make peri go away is time, lol.
