hi all,

just back from an ultra sound scan, it's taken me seven long sleepless and  painful months to get this far!! I have had doctors and physio  telling me I have frozen shoulder, a trapped nerve and the last one even thought I also had arthritis! It is so frustrating not getting a good sound diagnosis. Also so very painful , not to mention the indignity of not being able to put a bra on or do my own hair

i had an X-ray a few weeks ago and it came back clear of any arthritis funny old thing.

i have been saying this started when I started having blood pressure tablets...still unsure of any connection if any.

anyway today's result has been good as he said that I have a lot going on in my shoulder!! Thank you ....recognition at last.

now I have to wait a few weeks to see the specialist for more accurate result, I will let you all know how I get on, meanwhile back to my weekly sessions with the massage and light manipulation which has been helping me just not my purse as £50 a week is not good , but it's worth it.

Hope you are all coping and trying to rest when and where you can neutral

Hello - I know the pain it's truly horrible. Do you know that you can pay to see a shoulder specialist and then revert to treatment on NHS? It cost me £180 in England. It speeds things from weeks to days with often the same person. Just a thought ...

Hi, Karen I have never heard of this no, can you tell me how to do this please .

It been going on forever and I have an app with specialist physio in two weeks, I'm really interested, thank you.

Go to your GP and ask to be referred 'privately' - also ask for the name and phone number of the specialist's secretary, so you can phone up and find out when the appointment is. You can then go see them and either stay on the private course, or go NHS. I love and support the NHS but I was in so much pain I paid my way out of it, I went private for the whole thing (£5k) worth every penny (I got a loan I'm not rich!) - I did try months of physiotherapy before but didn't help at all, had phsio as part of my recovery. Hope that helps

Ah, thank you, I did try to go private a few months back, I even had a letter from my people but the doctor would not refer me , which meant without a referal I had no chance of them helping me X sad

Hi eve. Not sure what the specialist physio will do. I had weeks of osteopath before i realised it was great whilst she was doing it but pain still there once it was done. i had couple of steroid injections...they relieved the pain a lot. But the last 2 weeks its been so painful again. Even painkillers dont work to help me sleep. I shouldve had hydrodilitation last week but now have to wait til June. Not happy i have to deal with this pain again...grr. Got physio appt tonight...yuk!! Lol. Xx. Hope you get some good news soon.

      Thanks Debbie, how's it going.

im trying to get the results of my cat scan but don't see specialist until June now.

my blood pressure has gone through the roof too, not sure if pain can do that?

hoping the doctor can tell me results tomorrow as I have requested them sent through to them , cross fingers, as I had the most awful painful weekend so far.

hoping all went well for you.

      Hi Eve

Well im better than i was 2 weeks ago. The physio is very painful but does seem to get more forward movement. Altho today i was back at work and it just seems to ache now. Im more worried about the other shoulder as it really is sore and im so worried its going to freeze. If it does im just going to ask them to put me to sleep and do hydro!! On me!! Dreading it. x

Strange you say about your other shoulder as I am getting the pains in my other shoulder too.

I remember these pains before my other shoulder got really bad.

Its so painful isn't it . I will let you know how I do xx thanks Debbie , it's nice knowing I'm not going it alone x

Omg i hope its not another fs!! I can manage to work at the moment and drive to work as its my rightshoulder. But if my left shoulder goes i wont be able to drive/work, so it will mean 4-5 months off work. I told my physio about it and she said just keep it moving....well i did with the first one, i was doing boxing every week and going to the gym but that still froze! xx

So annoying but yea glad we r all there for each other.

      Deb x
