Update!!

So it's been a few weeks since I posted on here a few things have changed by I'm still dizzy!

Last week on my way home with the kids I came over all dizzy and passed out, luckily my husband was walking in front however I hit my head on the floor so was taken to a&e and they did a ct scan which was all normal so I guess I've got the reassurance that my dizziness isn't caused by something sinister! Also I went to see ent again and they put a camera up my nose & down my throat to see if there was anything going on there!! He said all was fine & didn't think it was my ear either but he has refferred me to a balance clinic anyway just to see...! I am still waiting to see a nuerologist as was suffering with bad head pressure and headaches which have settled slightly..! My main issue now is I have a lump in my neck and on my jaw which I think could be causing it however gp said no as I'd had a scan this year on my neck & all was clear however he's refferred me again to be sure, he wants me to try alternative therapy now like tai-chi, Pilates etc something to do with balance which I haven't a problem with but I'm not convinced it's gonna help, does anyone else not believe their gp? Xx

Hi a lump in your neck and jaw could be a dental problem? This dizziness is just awful isn't it. I'm now taking betahistine and for the first time in nearly 5 weeks I've semi functioned today . Hope you ok xx

My question would be what does he think that the lump is?  Doesn't sound like you had it before for the original scan, or did you?

Not sure the one on my jaw they said was a benign lymph node but not sure about one on neck but doesn't think it's serious x

A lymph node swelling is usually from an infection.  I wouldn't think that it was normal for the two of them to just swell without some cause.  I agree with Helen, it could be a dental problem.  Are there any other issues going on with your teeth?  I might see another GP just for a second opinion.  Doesn't seem normal for the nodes to swell absent an infection somewhere.

The one on my jaw has been there years, they said that it swelled when I had an infection or something and stayed swollen never went back down so said it was scared, I have had a previous scan on this and they checked all my neck and thyroid and said it was all ok but it's got painful and tender to touch but no bigger, I have had a wisdom tooth out on the same side about 2 months ago, the other lump on my neck I can feel only when I tilt my head to the left I'm not sure if it's a lump or knot in the muscle hence he's sending me for another scan doesn't feel like a gland and isn't hard, I also have tmj so not sure if it is dental I've booked a dentist app for Tuesday to see if he can put my mind a rest x

I'm sure that it is fine.  I get that sometimes and it usually clears up.  A tender lymph node and swelling is usually from infection and it may be associated with the tooth removal.  Sounds like you are headed down the right path with the visits that you have lined up.  Hopefully, you will get some answers from them.
