I have been taking 10 mg of celexa for almost 6 weeks. I have been asking about my symptoms of not being able to breathe. Feeling like my chest was tight and not getting a full breath. And was told that it was the celexa. It might play a factor here and there. But I was referred to a pulmanologist and today was checked. I had numerous tests. And have been diagnosed with adult onset asthma. If anyone is having trouble breathing yes it may be the celexa but it can also be something else. Get checked! And the celexa has changed my life since it started doing its job. I feel like myself and back to normal! It's amazing, for anyone doubting your choice if taking it, stick it out.

Also be very vigilant and careful with doctors miss diagnosis that the doctors so called diagnosed .. Because I also had those symptoms plus others and the general practitioner try to diagnosed me with asthma and arthritis..and all it was was interaction with ziplocone..and celexa side effects..which all totally disappeared once I was taken off the ziplocone .and my tight chest and coughing also disappeared within the first six months of the celexa..

I had these symptoms of shortness of breath and chest tightness 2 months before starting celexa. Thats what caused my doctor to send me to a specialist. I was admitted to a hospital 2 months prior to taking celexa for not being able to breathe.
