Update 15/1/2018

Just a quick update people, I have been suffering from G/F since June 23/06/2017. My thyroid has become under active and my anxiety levels spike quite a lot. However Im now on levothyroxine. I feel somewhat better on it 50mg at the moment. Im guessing I still have G/F because sometimes I still get tired and also I have anxiety for no reason. Like a few days ago cycling to work there's a roundabout quite big and I normally cross it with no issue. But when I was waiting for the crossing I started feeling really anxious to the point where I thought Id have a panic attack. Still on the vitamins but now I take them at lunch time around 12-1. Due to the fact apparently my thyroid medication could be affected. Im hoping slowly slowly I get back to pre June 2017 and start feeling better.

Thanks for your help on here been a godsend

    Hi jelley,

it's nice to hear from you. And good you're feeling somewhat better, even a little bit is progress!!

i hope you start to feel better soon too, I am slowly recovering. Dec2016 since I got ill. And I have pretty much really normal days now, although today was a bit slow and tiring, my symptoms are tiredness, hot legs at night. It is getting there.

    we all will, eventually!!

    Hey Jelley,

It's only too understandable that going through glandular fever would affect your anxiety levels, I know it's so hard but don't beat yourself up about this. I know for sure it took a lot of confidence out of me and took time to build up again, but remember you're doing good things by going cycling and taking vitamins, etc, you're helping yourself - and after this period of time you're still in recovery stage, it took me about 10 months before I seen a real turning point, and you're on your way to that too.

You most definitely will get back to how you felt before June, I definitely believe that Jelley having gone through it and thinking I wouldn't get back either - but full recovery does and will come in time - hang in there!
