Hi there, I know it's been a while since I posted. I just wanted to give you guys an update. I recently had an MRI and it showed 3 new lesions. Does this mean it's progressing? My Neuro also wants me to switch medications to something stronger. I'm so scared I don't know what to do. I'm only 24 I just feel so hopeless. And also my vitamin D is at 7.

Hi Marie, has your Consultant or MS nurse not explained anything to you? I just received notification today that my MRI showed additional lesions, however there was at least 1 year from my diagnosis till taking Plegridy and 2 years from my 1st MRI scan, so not sure if they are recent or before meds. I understand your feelings of panic and concern, however there is so many medications you can take, plus make life changes. The medical profession don't tell you much about this terrible illness, but google George Jelek "Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis" if you have Facebook look for him and friend request the stories are inspirational and give an insight to other MS sufferers. You are young and can change things for yourself. I take Flaxseed capusals, B12  & Vitamin D every day. Keep a positive frame of mind, don't allow this illness to bring you down, I know it can be difficult, but make changes and Question your Consultant xx

Hi Marie  First let me encourage you, there are many of "us" with MS ((((marie))))

MS affects everyone differently and there are 4 stages of this disease.  Now you said you have 3 new lesions.

So yes to a degree it has progressed some.  You need to keep a journal.  How are your symptoms?  Are they

staying the same, or getting worse?  Are there any new symptoms?  You should also take a vitamin D supplement.  I take 2,000 IU gel cap of Vitamin D.  I am unable to take any medications to slow the progression

due to other issues I have. If you know for sure that your symptoms are worse, then I would switch meds.  Talk to your Neuro and get all the info you can about these drugs.  Then you can make the decision based on your comfort level and your knowledge of the drug.  My best advice is to enjoy each and every day.  Stay positive, and do what makes you happy.  Try to keep a normal routine and get extra rest when you can.  You are 24  WoW

I wish I was 24 ~ Lol  So start today ~ Be Happy  Keep smiling, ya don't want to get wrinkles!  Best wishes to You
