Update about gallbladder symptoms

Hi there i have wrote about my symptoms before but yesterday after coming back from the doctors i started to feel very unwell again very weak, brain fog, fuzzy head, flu type symptoms, and a feeling as if i needed to lie down and felt very tired. So i went upstairs and laid down for abit and that didnt really help so i got up and went to go downstairs i then got half way and became so dizzy that i feel over and feel down some of my stairs? luckily not all the way down and luckily i only hurt my knee a little bit which really scared me. I just really wanted to know if anyone else has had these strange symptoms and should i call the doctor back? any advice would be great thankyou.

Throughout my issues pre gallbladder removal and now my pains 6 years post op I haven't had any of the symptoms you are describing. Sorry I couldn't help. Are you sure they're related to gallbladder?

Another thing I thought of was what happened to me 9 months after gallbladder removal. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, no pre warnings or anything, only symptom was I was very tired and wanted to sleep a lot. Not sure where you are with GB issues but it might be worth asking. Take care. Jo

Please let me know what the doctor said, and keep me updated.  Take care!

    Hi Carmella

Oh dear, sorry to hear you are feeling worse. I did have dizzy spells and flu like symptoms  with ado pains and digestive problems and was dx with gallstones, hiatal hernia and I had h pylori. My doctors did not think they were all connected though symptoms all appeared at the same time and I had lots of migraines and sinus problems too, which may have all weighed in. I had a fall and head injury (not due to dizzy symptoms though), which started the sinus issues.

I would say insist on more tests as you cannot be falling over and hurting yourself like this. Hope they will find out the underlying reasons soon - take care.

Sometimes it is the fear of the unknown or knowing too much that can lead to this kind of dizziness. Not having a clear diagnosis as to what is happening to your gall bladder and the symptoms and side effects associated with gall stones can lead to such fear that I remember well going through similar symptoms as you. In the end I had a scan to check my gall bladder and was geared up for its removal but there were no stones inside it. It was however inflamed and no one could tell why. Maybe it had an infection? I tried antibiotics, but that did no good. It remained painful and my doctor was flummoxed. Was it imagination? No, I definitly felt pain in that area. Was it my liver then? No, blood tests revealed the liver although fatty, is ok. So I tried cutting out different foods to see if that helped, and I did find that anything fatty did set it off hurting, but there had to be something I was missing. I had had the pain for years, and laying on my right side was like laying on a golf ball, but at times it became very painful. Finally I found what was causing the inflamation, and I was shocked. Cows milk. My gall bladder is sensitive to cows milk. I switched to soya milk and have used it now for the past 4 months and my gall bladder is quiet, peaceful and working as it should do. All the feelings associated with a painful gallbladder went away, and so did the bloat in my tummy. I lost weight too, 11 pounds in 4 weeks, and that impressed upon me just how much milk I had been drinking a day, even though I always maintained I only had it at breakfast and in tea or coffee. So now I take calcium + vitamin D tablets and drink soya milk and vita coco water and its no big deal giving up cows milk, I can certainly live without it. Far better to live without cows milk than suffer the pain of a sensitive and inflamed gallbladder.
