Update: Decision on treatment - Acessa Procedure

Posted , 13 users are following.

I have decided to have the Acessa procedure for treatment of my fibroid. It is scheduled forth is Saturday.

I am curious to know if anyone has had this procedure done.

Of the options available to me in the US (I live in Lis Angeles) this was the least invasive with very few side effects.

Of course with any surgery, I am scared. Especially because insurance companies in California do not cover this procedure so I must pay out of pocket.

My fibroid is now the size of a cantaloupe and my uterus is at 21 weeks. I am a 35 year old with no children and want to keep my uterus. I only other options were UAE and Myomectomy, but because of the size of my tumor, I have been told that the chance of complications and total hysterectomy are great.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank You

Hello! Could you please point me out where about in Germany this procedure is available? I have a relatively small 6cm but highly symptomatic fibroid. After 4 years suffering in the Uk I have only just got referred by my GP to a specialist with several months wait.

On the other point- whoever had the procedures. Is the test done at any point to test whether it is binaing? I had a telephone consultation with doctor in Israel, and he said this should have been done ages ago.  My GP never mentioned that. It worries me a lot.

How did acessa go for you after 2 years? I had spokent o Dr. Lee directly too but ultimately my husband and I did not trust that it sounded legit, he is a "Hollywood doctor" saying "I am the only one who can do this surgery right" and "Pay me directly because it is not covered by any insurance." Also, there is a Hollywood reporter article about him being mugged just to advertise for acessa. Sounded sketchy but anyhow how are you after 2 years? How big and how many fibroids did you have>?
