Update: Gallbladder removal
Posted , 6 users are following.
I got my gallbladder out of my body. Yesterday I was really nauseous. Today I'm a little bit dizzy and nauesous. My throat hurts and my cheeks are bright red and hot but no fever. I feel like crap. It hurts when I laugh. So any comments for the reason I might be like this.

The sore throats is probably still from the anaesthetic tube.
Keep an eye on those cheeks and the generally feeling unwell - any signs of infection and get yourself back to the GP.
did they send you home with any antibiotics?
i had mine out yesterday, and I don't have any signs of fever or anything like that. Just a little pain when I lie down.
take good care of yourself.

I got sent home with painkillers, but also some heavy duty antibiotics because I'm allergic to some of the more normal ones, and because it was apparently a little more complicated than they thought it would be, and they wanted to make sure I didn't get an infection.

I've been trying to get up more and more. I've been really nauseous and dizzy. My side still hurts. I'm not able to drink milk cause that makes me nauseous. Yesterday I was really really tired. Today hopefully that is not the case.

Thanks for asking, I'm feeling great today.
i can sleep on either side, (which is good because I hate sleeping on my back), I have some spectacular bruises, but they're not painful at all - they just look shocking!
wounds are nice and clean and redressed, and no painkillers needed so far today.
The only thing I'm now curious about is that I haven't opened my bowels yet - and feel no need to go, despite eating a LOT!
but on the whole, I feel good.

Really great to hear you are doing so well. Arnica is good for bruises but guess if not hurting you. Then you Don't need to use it.
I have less than 2 weeks till my op and v nervous x

How long ago did you have surgery? Remember that it's major surgery--your outside stitches could take 5-6 weeks to heal, but internally, it could take longer. It will take your body time to adjust to the surgery, and for the effects of the anesthesia to get out of your system.
