Been absent from the forums for a while smile never fear I am back!

loosing the will to live with the constant pain in my back and my sciatic nerve now also being a pain too.

Throbbing pain down my left leg.

Low lumbar spinal pain - L4/L5 disc dehydration as diagnosed 2015 MRI Scan!

currently taking numerous different medications to help me through the day, I also tried the tens machine which he advised and no never again that made it horrendous to even get up!

when will this end....... I have a feeling never!

I am currently waiting for a referral for the specialist physio team to see me to decide on further scans and treatment if any! wont hold  out much hope as when I spoke to them last they were working on Novembers referrals!

I am still seeing my osteopath monthly now - we did get to a point last year where it was every other month but with the pain being worse than before I made the appointments closer together and thank god I did.

The pain is worst when I am sitting down for long lengths of time, I try to break this up but it is not always possible!

I just feel like a pain when I end up going to the GP almost all the time now. I have a lovely GP who always listens and by far reads my notes on the history hence I wont see anyone else.

Anyone got anything helpful to try and help?

Have you been to a pain clinic or had spinal injections? Sorry for asking, but just seen your post and wondered what started the pain off, and what drugs if any, you are taking for nerve

pain, being in a similar position myself.

Will try and look up your previous posts.

Where to start, I have seen a pain specialist and he advised that I was not suitable for spinal injections at that time. The pain started off a lower lumbar spinal pain which I had been seeing my osteopath for for a while as it started a muscular and progressed further.

    Dear Dawn,

Don't ever give up. I had spinal stenosis and had my operation two and a half years ago. I don't feel like I have ever been right since but I take medication for the pain which gets me through the days. Wish I never had to take anything but I do. Probably wouldn't be able to walk without medication. I am 64 years old and retired after my operation so at my age I don't care as much but I just wish I had energy like I use to have. Can't do much with my grandchildren and for that I feel bad. Going to try another doctor soon to see what's going on and get more exrays done. Maybe there is another solution. I'm not giving up no matter what. You hang in there my dear! It sounds like you have a good doctor, and one that listens to you. Wish I could find a good one too. I'm working on it. Good luck to you.

oh gosh sorry to hear that martha56605.

I am not giving up and at 32 I should not have to be taking cocodamol and ibuprofen just to get me through the day at work. when I get home I am also taking amitriptyline 35mg along with citalopram just to get to sleep at night.

I do have a good doctor but when she referred me I doubt she knew of the horrendous waiting times for a physio consultant who ever I am meant to be seeing for another MRI scan as it has got worse.

The Pain management consultant who I saw in 2015 was also good and he suggested I keep a pain diary which I have been and most days the pain level is 8 or 9.
