Update on my condition

Hi everyone . For those that remember me, I thought I would update on my story. Bowel resection and temporary Iliostomy . I have been doing well except for dehydration, common with Iliostomy. I have had another hospital stay for 2 nights for rehydration a week ago. Felt so much better when I came home. Surgeon said he's bringing forward my op for reversal because of this problem to the 1 st of August. I can't tolerate any drugs for slowing output, tried all the recommended foods etc. goodness knows how I'll get to that date without another stay for hydration, which I don't want. I'm already getting headaches, nausea and the rest. It's only 18 days away, so I cannot wait for it to be here. Anyway, that's me updated. I would ask for any hints, but I think I've literally tried everything. I'll keep everyone posted.

Jenny it is so hard. 17 days to keep rehydrated. So difficult. It depletes me. I already feel the effects and I had rehydration a week ago! Just got to press on, and if I need rehydrated in hospital, so be it. It's just the effects until I get to that stage ?? Thanks for the encouragement. Really helps.

ellen please feel free to private message me if you need to, I have done that myself. Or ask on this forum, I'm happy either way. More than happy to share anything, and be of help. And although I have had some hiccups, I am recovering well. It's great to speak to someone who has actually been through it.
