Update RLRP Surgery with Dr Eastham on 8/17/18

Hello Everyone

I am in my 4th day of recovery from RLRP Surgery with Dr Eastham at MSK  I had my surgery at the Josie Robertson MSK Cancer Center .  My surgery went well according to Dr Eastham  about 4 hours start to finish Thursday morning  I was in some discomfort the first two days By the third day I was off pain meds  This morning the fourth day back to work although taking it easy with the Catheter Travel Bag around my leg

Biopsy of Prostrate and Lymph Nodes due back in 10 days Bowel Movement my third day  Whahoo !  Facility, Doctors and Nurses   10 out of 10 . First Rate Cancer Center !!  Willing to talk with anyone who is considering surgery Many thought it was not necessary but happy so far with the results . Will update when I deal with potential side affects

I am taking a low dose of Viagra to stimulate blood flow to the nerves responsible for erections Right now I take 20 mg and will continue for 1 week after catheter is out and do a "challenge" load of 100 mg once a week   :Looking for feedback and comments if interested .

    Glad that you are happy with the outcome.

    I consulted with Dr Eastham and found him to be terrific.

    I wound up having SBRT at MSKCC with Dr Zelefsky and I too am happy with the results so far.

    MSKCC is the premier cancer tx center in the country.

    Good luck with your recovery.
