Update::::Spinal stimulator

Evening fellow hipsters!   Well this afternoon I had the back stimulator trial  today.  They had to insert the wires in my back but the box is taped outside of back for 7 days. I do have to say this it was an experience!!  They did sedate me and man I felt like I was on a crazy ride seeing different colors that moved!!   Right now I’m in pain from where they put the wires in using a hollow  needle to thread it in along the spine through the epidural space.   I’m hoping it helps with the nerve pain in my thigh.    So far it feels better!   The mri of my thigh really didn’t show anything with regards to why I was having this nerve pain and sensitivity.   Did show atrophy in my thigh muscle.   Dr said should feel better in a couple of days. Can’t bend, twist or reach for anything high....sounds familiar....to prevent wires coming out.   After the 7 days they will remove the wires and if it works and I like it then insert everything in my back.  I have to wait 2 to 6 weeks before I can get that.

    Hope it works for you. I had nerve damage post op although no one realised thats why I was in so much pain. GP put me on Amitryptaline and thankfully settled down x

      Morning!!  Thanks I’m hoping it will too but if it’s anything like yesterday!! The pain after the numbness wore off was pretty intense!!  I’m still pretty sore this morning.  So you’re feeling better now?  Where was your nerve pain?   Mine was very slowly getting better but still was pretty intense.   I don’t know if the weather affected my pain and sensitivity but it always seemed that if rain was in the forecast I felt worse.   Hope you’re doing better!!  Hugs 🤗Linda.

      Thank you Judith me too!!!   I’ve been in pain due to the procedure itself.   I’m starting to feel better with that now.  I’m still waiting to see if it will help with the nerve pain and sensitivity.  So far no....,😞.  That is what I wanted to get rid of.   Hugs 🤗 Linda
