Update... Still getting yellow balls in stools [with images]

Hello everyone,
If you've seen my previous discussion from last year, you will know I was having problems with undigested food, strands of fibre and these yellow balls in my stool.
After eliminating dairy and going vegan once again, the symptoms cleared up for a bit. However, after a couple months, the strands of fibre and yellow balls have come back!
I'm once again worried about these yellow balls - they're a bit hard to touch, but squidgy and semi-solid in the middle (it's not sweetcorn - the balls are bigger, plus I haven't eaten any in the past week to rule this out anyhow). They appear more so when my stools are harder but can also appear in soft stools.
Is anybody experiencing similar symptoms or does anyone have any ideas about what these could be?

Okay so I just recently started having this issue as well and also have IBS, I was starting to believe the balls of mucus theory but something didnt sit right with me on this as the balls are comprised of what appeared to be a membrane and then a different substance inside (white and when broken chalky or spongy depending). So, upon further internet research I concluded that what I am experiencing are ghost shells of pills I recently started to take. A variety of pills will have outer casings that do not disintegrate even though the insides do and often have an inner core still inside. This is more likely with extended release pills and appear in stool more often when having digestive flair ups of diverticulitis or Crohn's or IBS due to the fact that they often cause diarrhea which shortens the amount of time for digestion within the intestines.

I'm just bumping this if that's even a thing... Has anyone else ever heard of these balls in the stool? I have my own photos of this happening, it's been going on for about ten days. I am undiagnosed, but I've been having incredibly hard time passing stool, even when it's been soft. I've also somehow lost 4 lbs despite eating well. I'm beyond myself and am scheduling a gastro appointment ASAP

I have the same exact thing. Just saw it tonight & started looking up what in the heck it could be.
Have you had any luck?

Hello i also have these and am not sure what it is. i know its not corn either. corn looks similar but definitely different this looks almost like an undigested capsule its a perfect circle but puffed and feels hollow in the middle. the structure feels like plastic or something. I'm just worried its indicative of something not good. i tried posting but the file is too big.

Hi all, still surprised at how many people are replying and reassured at how many are sharing the same thing.
Important info:
• I am not on any medication. This is the same as when I first posted. Therefore, these can't be ghost tablets.
• I have a formal medical diagnosis of IBS-U and suffer from chronic pain, along with generalised and social anxiety disorders.
• As mentioned previously, this is not sweetcorn. I do not eat sweetcorn or any other corn regularly and these balls appear in my stool, notably when I do not eat corn.
• These are not parasites. I've had thorough checks for this.
• My diet is not excessive in fat.
• These almost always appear in my stools and it has been this way for about a year.
• I still have my gallbladder.
• I have no food intolerances, including all the major allergens.
My guess is my IBS diagnosis is unspecific, as it usually is, and there is a deeper cause to this problem.
I hope that some of you have found answers you're looking for from this thread. I am still searching. Until then, take care.

hey, i have the same thing. i had done some research a while ago and found that they are a type of parasite found by drinking sink, lake, or foreign water. they create these semi hard shells to carry their eggs through your system without being digested in your stomach. it goes away on its own or you can see a doctor.

Sounds like you're referring to giardia (giardiasis) or bilharzia (schistosomiasis) infections, both of which I am clear. I have never needed to take antiparasitic drugs and have had tests for this. Unlikely to be the latter since I am based in the UK and haven't travelled abroad anyway.

Any updates? I've been getting this for a few weeks as well. glad to see other people also experiencing this that can't find anything about it online, i felt like i was crazy. Been purposely avoiding any peas, seeds, beans, corn, etc but still seeing them. First time i saw one i took it out, squished it a little and it popped on me. it was so gross..it smelled like straight bile. I have crohn's so I'm not sure if its related to that but my gastro looked quite confused when i mentioned that I've been passing these. She ordered a test for ova parasite but it was more of a just in case thing, so if anything comes of that I'll let you guys know.
