Started on 25 for a week, awful side effects had me seriously worried, been on 50 for 3 weeks and thought things were definitely getting better, anxiety and stress levels were still high though, now on day 6 @ 75, I understand the side effects kick in again but for how long? Waking up at 4am every day, still fairly unmotivated and just lie in bed til late morning, things seem to clear and get better around 7pm , I take meds in morning around 7am. Any experience from anyone.

everyone says it takes at least 4 weeks for this stuff to work.

i found it impossible to take them though - ive decided against it as i cant make it through the 4 weeks like that - i felt awful.

your doctor can prescribe you other options. I have just started taking this stuff called 5-HTP which helps you build up more seratonin and doesnt make you go all weird. They sell it at Holland and barrett.

Thanks Natalie, good to know how others are affected and how long approximately, we're not all the same but it's a good pointer.

Robert, for me I found it best to take mine at the same time every evening. Then I sleep through any side effects. I awaken early with motivation.

You will find what is best for you. Keeping a diary about your daily ups and downs and perhaps a pattern will emerge, more good or more bad days, and that can help you and your doc decide which dosage and which medication is best.

    Take care,
