Upped my meds....

I upped my meds from 50mg to 75mg and wanted to let you all know that so far the side effects are not near as bad as when I first started. The reason I am letting you know is, you hear alot of horror stories about peoples side effects when upping so I wanted to give you some reassurance so far 😊

Always good to hear positive experiences although I empathise with those experiencing side effects and anxiety etc. I have taken 50mg for a month and feel better, but still not 100% ( I’m not sure I know what that is). Sleep has returned and have slept for up to 18hrs as opposed to 4! The racing thoughts and worrying as dissipated although I’m often unable to collect my thoughts.  I’m just focused on being happy, staying in the moment and not money and material £.

I empathize as well.....i am not 100% yet BUT it is nice that all my side effects didn't return with upping my meds. I am going on week 5 on Wednesday with taking my meds. It is very hard to deal with I was off work for 2 weeks I was struggling so bad. I love how we can talk and support each other on here. It is hard for people that don't suffer from panic, anxiety and depression to understand so it is great we have this to talk to each other.

I had two weeks off too. I just couldn’t leave the house. Was stuck in flight mode and couldn’t fight - felt weak and just wanted to sleep. Even though I still have these similar feelings I am working now and allow myself to feel low or tired. If I felt great straight away I’d probably be eating tablets like smarties 🤔. I also feel I have a better idea of what helps me and the direction I need to go.....it is good to share and know we’re not alone - depression in males highest contributer to suicide. We all need to be transparent about how we feel.

    Hi..

Same as you I recently upped to 75mg from 50mg. I was on the 50 for 2 years but all of a sudden my anxiety appeared aging out of the blue. Woke up shaking, bad tummy, nausea etc for days. Dr wanted me to go to 100mg but I said I'd go to 75mg. Prefer to do a little at a time. Same with side effects... they were there but, no where near as bad as on start up. Often wonder if I can be sertraline free again tho rolleyes xx

I was free of it for 12 years and just the last month I had to go back it was hard to but I look at it like this I would rather be on it then live how I was living....the way I was and have been feeling isn't living. ?
