hi knight. yes I am afraid it will probably take at least 4 weeks for you to see some improvement, as hard as it just try to roll with it in the knowledge that eventually you will feel better once you have found the correct dose for you. hang on in there you will be fine

I also had a VERY hard time titrating upward on Sertraline. I started with 6.25 mg, and it took me 12 weeks to reach 50 mg. I had to keep reading posts here to help me hang on. Each 10 mg increase caused horrendous Intrusive Thoughts and anxiety. I took 5-10 mg of Valium to help me. But the Valium just increased the depression (it did calm the Intrusive Thoughts and panic, though).

It was truly a battle all the way. Now I am holding at 50 mg. I would say I am 80% better. I am so glad I hung on, as I feel so much better. And you will too. But while going through it it was hard to believe some days that I was getting better.

Several people on this site said if you are experiencing increased anxiety and depression then you know the Sertraline is working. I clung to that. I send you positive thoughts and prayers, and wish you speedy recovery and wellness. God bless you.
