Upper back/headaches/fatigue

I've suffered from headaches for the last few years and it's a norm thing for me now.

But for the past few months or so or even few years I cant remember how far back my upper back and new would feel very tender at the end of the day and sometimes during the day itself. It may feel tender to press on my upper back and neck and it way hurt when I first lie down on it in bed. I sometimes get this tired sentsation in my neck or that no position is comfortable for it. Some days then my neck may be fine. I'm also a lot more fatigued in last few months and an wondering is there something that could be linking all of these?

None of what you say suggests to me you might have polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) or giant cell arteritis (GCA) which is what we talk about here on this particular forum. The headaches of GCA are intense and there are a lot of other symptoms you would look for. Age is also a relevant factor - how old are you?

It does sound as if it is possible you have a lot of muscle tension in your back and shoulders and that can also lead to headaches. Perhaps a good place to start might be with a physiotherapy assessment to see if there is a muscle problem.

Have you been to your doctor? Fatigue MAY be a symptom of an autoimmune disorder - but it is usually pretty overwhelming and there are other signs or symptoms although they can be very vague in the early stages.
