Upper left chest pain months after hysterectomy

Hi,

I had a hysterectomy 13 months ago after a c section. both my ovaries were left intact but about 9 months ago I started experiencing upper left chest pain on and off. it's a dull pain but I feel it almost everyday. I saw a cardiologist just to make sure, and my EKG was clear. had a chest x-ray, also clear. the doctors think it's muscle pain. but can a muscle hurt for this long? if anyone has had a similar experience or any advise on what other tests I can maybe request for, please let me know as I'm.now getting scared. sorry for the long post.
