Oh yes the last 2 days been difficult and I am into week 7. Been told quite normal while the bones heal and attach to prothesis. Sorry I do not know when it stops. See my surgeon on 12th so he may have an idea

Just resort to the pain killers and hope you get relief soon. Mine is intermittent

Hi, I had the same then about week 3 the pain became more like stiffness and more comfortable.  All normal but we are all different so th rate of improvement etc varies.  You will hear it a thousand times but its true, keep exercising but at the rate you feel comfortable with and it will get better. Best wishes.

I remember those early weeks of recovery well. Felt the same seems to be normal healing as so many of us experienced the same thing. I'm now in week #8. I don't have pain anymore bit I st I 'll have stiffness especially first thing in the morning and later in the evening.

Hi I am into 4th week and somewhere new seems to ache every day so I think it is all normal part of the healing process, as all have said we are all diffrerent and heal at different speed. Keep up with the pain relief and doing the excercises.

me too .... good to know that it is normal and part of the healing process - LOL on having new pains every day .... after I watched the THR surgery on youtube, everything made more sense - why did I think it was not major surgery when it really is ..  however .... expected to be further along by this time ( week 7 ) -

reading our shared experiences helps me so much .... keeps me smiling and sometimes even LOL ...
