Urethra dilatation

I had a urethra dilatation two weeks ago. Catheter was in for two days. It's been a week since cath is out. Good urine flow with a frequency of every 1-2 hours.

The problem that I have is the pain on my rectum.

Every time I pee a pain is coming in my rectum and a pain/sensation to move a bowel is present for 10-15min.Siting will make the pain to go away almost 100% . If I will stand up and start walking the urgency to pee is coming back and then all the above symptoms will come back Also feel my left testicle heavy.

Please let me know if anybody had these symptoms.

Thanks!

The urethra passes right next to the bowel, coming down to run along the bottom of the penis. If you have a hard stool to pass, it possibly presses on the area that was dilated, and made sensitive by the procedure. (If your stricture was farther down, and pass the bulbous urethra, something else could be going on.)

Most likely your pain is in the area of the rectum, but actually is emanating from the urethra where the dilation was done. It could also be that the presence of the catheter irritated the urethra in areas away from the urethra. If you had anesthesia for the dilation, that would tend to slow down peristalsis of the bowel. This can lead to hard stools until you get everything back to normal. In any event, catheters, and the use of instruments through the urethra for procedures such as dilation or a urethrotomy of a stricture can lead to soreness in various areas of the urethra. This sensitivity can lead to pain while passing stools.

(I've had multiple TURP procedures, dilation and urethrotomies, so I'm aware of the discomfort.)

I have had this sensation a lot , I had FLA done 4 weeks ago and I have seen this problem , it is bladder spasms that come together with bowel contractions , I think for a good flow you are going too frequently to pee and you may have still urine retention that causes the spasms , the only way for me to get rid of the spasms is to empty the bladder doing self catheter , no medication has helped to avoid the spasms !
