Urethral damage versus Urethral infection

I did some structural damage to my penile urethra about 7 months ago- pulling my flaccid penis.
Due to an issue with compulsive masturbation, I didn't give it enough time to heal for many months, and it didn't improve much.
In the last few months though, due to improved abstinence, basically stopping coffee, and cranberry/Ural, I feel structurally there has been quite a bit of healing.
The problem is I still feel a burning sensation, a couple of days after any sexual activity, no matter how careful I/someone else has been.
These symptoms now seem very similar to someone with a Uti/urethritis or urethral syndrome.
I'm wondering if now my issue is an infection, rather than actual urethral damage.
I contacted a urologist by email recently who said usually there isn't as much pain with urethral injury, but more burning/pain with inflammation or infection.
Can anybody shed some light on whether burning is likely inflammation/infection, as structurally I feel pretty good (voiding is not and has never been a problem, except for urine splaying sometimes)

I don't know much about that but I don't think it is urethral damage. It can damage veins but not urethra. Burning is the sign of inflammation. It can be diagnosed with simple urine test. Otherwise you have to go for endoscopy and all things will be cleared.
