Urethral discomfort after frequent UTIs

Hello,

I am 25 yo and I have had 4 UTIs in the past 6 months, they happened after sexual intercourse, even though I peed after it. The first three cleared up with antibiotic treatment. The last UTI I had, started two weeks ago. The symptoms I had were constant urge to pee and discomfort with urination. At first I tried with mannose for 3 days with no change, then I took Macrobid for 7 days.

After antibiotic treatment the remaining symptom I have is discomfort in the urethral area. I did the urinalysis and there's no sign of infection (leukocytes were 3-5, which is still in normal range as well as everything else). This remaining feeling is similar to urge to pee, though I know when its false and when I really have to pee. This discomfort usually appears after I empty the bladder. Usually I press the tip of urethra with my hand or leg when I am sitting so I don't feel it. Alongside I have a slightly bloated lower abdomen (which, usually, I only experienced during monthly period).

Do you have any suggestions for this problem? This discomfort is really irritating, it affects my mood and I cannot study or do other everyday tasks. I truly hope it will go away but I am concerned I will have to live with this from now on. My doctor said she cannot do anything else for me.

The only medication I am taking are the contracepitves and the only problems I have had were allergies (to pollen, dust).
