Urethroplast and ED

I had my op 2.5 months ago and have had no signs of an erection at all. (no problem ever acieving them before the op).
I bled out a lot during the op and needed a blood transfer. To stop the flow they needed to cauterize a lot causing nerve damage.
Doc initially thought things would return to normal within 1-3 months, then revised it to 3-6 months, and is now saying 6-12 months.
While I haven't had an erection, about 3 times I have discharged a combination of pee & semen. Mostly like a thick water. Twice completely unexpected. The 3rd time it actually had the sensation of an orgasm.
For those who have had the op, what are your experiences?

ei Osakadan, just had my urethroplasty stage 1, almost 3 weeks ago,
and had a few erections in the last few days, had a first mini discharge
yesterday, very watery. Did asked my reconstruction urologist prior
surgery regarding ED risks, and was pretty much reassured of almost
no risks in regards.
How are dealing with pain? I m still on strong dose of pain killers

I am in Sydney, Australia. I had both a spigotted cathater and the suprapubic. Both are out now, 3 weeks after stage 1 reconstruction. Both removals caused more intense pain. Just starting 4th week of recovery, but intense pains still here....

I read there is a 95% recovery rate. My surgeon still isn't worried and promised I would recover even if it takes 12 months. He feels the problem is because I bleed out and they needed to cauterize the area so much causing nerve damage. And that's why I can't feel my scrotum or testicles much.
I didn't have much pain and only had morphine by drip for about 3 days. Nothing after that. Probably because of the numbness.
Whereabouts is your pain?

having strong burning and pain in the urethra, the lack of lube does not help. graft has to get use to it, can take a while...
feels like a very strong urinary tract infection, boiling sensation is at all times, not just when voiding.
had 2 provisional cathaters removed, that will not help the pain.
The wound it self should heal soon, consider they cut almost 3 cm of my penis and replaced base are with mouth skin

Peeing is normal according to flow rate check. Personally though it doesn't feel as fast as it was at times after stretching of the urethra.
Have been dealing with the stricture for 15 years or so.
