Urge to pee, only a little comes out. Please help

Hey everyone so for the past few days I've been dealing with thrush as a result of taking so many antibiotics for a uti I've finally gotten rid of.

ATM I'm not feeling any symptoms, but when I need to pee, it's almost like I'm busting and I can only just make it to the toilet on time. Even if it's only a little bit. The urge to go is relieved when I do get to the toilet and there's only slight bladder discomfort that goes away quickly,

which I'm told is normal for thrush along with the burning and white discharge. To me, this is unlike a uti where the urge is always constant even after going or attempting to go, and there's always bladder discomfort when I get utis.

My mother stated that ever since I was very young I've always had issues in relation to bathroom habits. I would barely make it to the toilet on time and leakage was and is still a big issue even with no infection. Could I just have a week bladder??

Hi Danielle! You may have some chronic bladder issue or even a problem with your pelvic muscles. I would definitely see a urogynecologist for a consult, who might send you for an eval with a pelvic physical therapist. I had many utis as a child and was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis a year ago and pelvic floor disorder and recurrent utis within the last few months. Following the IC diet, medication and physical therapy have helped so much so remember that there is hope for whatever problems you may have. I wish you the best of luck!
