Urgency/Frequency/Blood in urine/Tissue looking bits in urine

Hi all,

On a doctors visit back in December, it was discovered that i had miscroscopic blood in my urine. This went on for a few months, and increased with every doctors check up. A urologist did an ultrasound of the kidney/bladder back in February, and all was normal. He also did cystoscopy which was normal too. He also did a test which shows my bladder holds sufficient amount of urine. The problem is, we never really figured out what the cause was, and recently i have had a new symptom (mucus tissue looking things in my urine). I am considering going back to a different urologist, but has anyone experienced something similar, or know what tissue looking bits in urine is?

Did they go into the ureters and kidneys during the scope? Could be a small persistent kidney infection or a cyst, mucus being from pus possibly, and blood from Nephrons in the kidneys dying and coming out as blood as they do if they die. If you have pain in back or sides and maybe and general infection signs it could be something further in, maybe ask that. Also cranberry juice and anti oxidants and similar things to flush things out. I thought I found tissue in my urine but I think it was just the glands secretions. General cystoscope only go in bladder but some can be alot longer and go into kidneys.

I'm no qualified specialist or professional, but I have had a few urological procedures in my life so far and I'm only 22 so I  have scoured the internet alot lol.

I had to have a Catheter in for 2 months because of a couple of procedures My District nurse who was hopeless confused me by saying "dont worry about bit and pieces floating everyone has them but don't notice them in toilet  She took a sample and said if you don;t get areply in a couple of days it's OK Was worse after a week went to GP who just wrote a note for Antibiotics worse after another week went to A&E Nurse got result through in minutes and showed me all the bits floating about said I had about 6 infections got stronger tablets which helped a lot until Catheter removed I noticed some long pieces of membrane floating since but haven;t worried too much about them Get yorself a couple of sample jars from your surgery and you can check for yourself If you feel you need a quicker answer go to A&E after surgery hours or at week ends so as not to appear to be going over their heads

    Hello,

I am having the same exact signs and symptoms.  I have also had the same procedures done with the same results as you.  Have you been able to figure out what the cause is and more importantly a diagnosis and resolution to the problem?
