on sunday my vagina was itchy and monday morning when i woke up i felt some bumps on my vag lips . it dosent hurt when i pee, they dont itch, nothing burns down, and it dosen't hurt when i touch it. infact monday night i popped one of them. I cant stop thinking about it being herpes so today i went to go get checked and the doctor said it looked like a bacterial infection. she did say that it somewhat looked like i had ulcers on my vag lip but she wasnt sure so i went and took a blood test .she prescribed me some medicine for the bacteria and some medicine just incase its herpes . but i dont want to take the herpes medication unless i know forsure that i have it. i'll get my results back sometime next week. ive recently gotten a new sex partner and we dont use protection every time. im very anxious to find out what it is, i cant stop thinking about it. this is the first time this has happened to me.

It could be herpes yes, especially the second picture they look a lot like herpes ulcers.

But it could also very much be bacterial too and from my personal experience the first herpes outbreak was agony and I certainly knew about it!

I guess everyone has a different experience and symptoms but I would think with a first herpes outbreak you would at least be feeling some pain or discomfort.

hi what do you mean by agony? like I heard it hurts when you pee but like a UTI where it hurts as it comes out or like its burning a cut when you get lime or sanitizer in a cut? very different. also, was it itchy?? I'm so scared I might have it too

The pain I had started like a UTI with discomfort and burning/stinging when I had a wee. Then it very quickly became pain all the time where every movement, sitting down, putting clothes on, walking, everything hurt to the level of bringing tears to my eyes. I was moving and every step takes your breath away at how painful it was.

I had a lot of intense itching as it was healing and after the sores had gone, it's called post-herpertic neuralgia and it's nerve related so it was almost like an itch that can't be scratched because it's due to the virus attacking the nerves rather than an external irritation.

I hope you get your results quickly to get an answer and put your mind at rest.

how long did it take from the open sore to the itching? and healing? do you believe the pic looks like herpes?

I have a post to get advice, with a picture . please let me know

I think it was about 10 days for the sores to heal with medication. Then I felt pretty much normal for a few days before the itching started. The itching wasn't caused by the sores themself it was the nerves being affected by the virus.

I can't find your post can you add a link?

It does look like Herpes, but doesn't sound like herpes. Usually the first outbreak can be quite painful.

It looks much improved in just a short time so I would lean towards bacterial. What did the doctor prescribe you? Was it antibiotic or antiviral?

Good job you went to get checked out! Least now you can have some piece of mind when your results are back
