A fistula is a unnatural connection between usually unconnected areas or organs (for example) between your colon and bladder, a fissure is a unnatural crack or tear in the skin of the (for example) back passage :?

Sounds like you might have Crohns disease or Ulcerative colitis something like that sad

Your GP should receive a report shortly, you are best talking to them about what exactly it means in your case smile

Im going for a Sigmoidoscopy this Thursday

Thanks for that Dr Spock

I must admit that I have been thinking along the lines of crohns myself, but will have to wait for full diagnosis.

Hope your sig... goes ok, are you having a general or being brave??? :?:

Why don't you go and talk to your doctor and find out exactly what you need to know? Also, they should explain everything to you at the hospital where they do the test. Much better than guessing or asking people who haven't seen the test results.
