Urinary incontinency after radical retropubic protatectomy

Posted , 2 users are following.

In my case radical retropubic protatectomy was performed on 5th January, 2016.Since then I am continent only while sitting or laying. But I am continuously dripping while walking or standing & urine do not get collected. I am very much frustrated as after four months of surgery I am still incontinent while walking or standing. Please can anyone help me that how much time it will take to become completely continent during walking or standing. I am doing kegel excercises continuously and also taking tablet Dariten OD 15mg daily since my surgery. I am sixty years old from India. with regards vkangra

I am so sorry to hear this. I haven't had your procedure, but have had Robot-Assisted Prostatectomy. My leakage is so minimal I no longer record it. A physiotherapist helped me with pelvic floor exercises. Perhaps you might ask your urologist about this.

It will improve I am sure.
