Urinary Tract infection is slowly starting to get to me.

Last year may was the first time I got a UTI, it was so bad, there was blood coming out of my urethra. I went to the doctor, who didn't test my urine and told me that he could tell that it was a UTI, gave me antibiotics and it worked. This year in January I started getting UTI symptoms. I didn't go to the doctor, I just got some tablets from the pharmacy which seemd to help. Last week I started getting UTI symptoms again and decided to go and see the doctor, he tested for UTI and it came back negative. He gave me antibiotics and told me that I have inflammation in vaginal walls and have bladder irritation.

I've been on the pill for 4 years now and only started getting UTI since last year. I often have the desire to pee during sex and after sex I immediately go to the bathroom to pee and nothing seems to come out.

I've found that certain positions causes some bladder irritation. I've also read that if your partner is on larger side down there, it could also cause some bladder irritation.

I feel very strongly about using natural remedies but if the pain or symptons gets too bad, I will revert to antibiotics even over the counter medicine.

For the most part, I have this immense pressure on my bladder and always have the urge to urinate but when I do, nothing or very little comes out. I don't know what to do anymore.

Please help.

Hi Sandy, I don't know how to help but would like to say you're not alone in having problems like this, I've literally just come home from the doctors after having being first diagnosed 2 weeks ago with a UTI after going to the toilet and peeing blood, was put on a course of antibiotics for 3 days which seemed to start clearing the UTI but it got worse on the 3rd day so I went back in and after another urine sample, I was given my 2nd lot of a different antibiotic which also seemed to clear after a few days then on day 5 of 7 I started having the pressure in bladder again and urgency to pee but even worse so I just went in to see where to from here. The doctor checked my urine and there's no longer blood in the urine or white blood cells and also this time there is no sign of infection even though this time my symptoms are worse, so I've been sent home and told to drink cranberry juice and lots of water and bring a sample back in first thing Monday morning. He also said I was constipated which could be adding to the discomfort. I hope you get some answers soon, I'm hoping this all ends really lily soon!

you should be getting a hosp referral, they say a urine sample should be checked two weeks after medication as it may give a false reading x

If your uti's are every three weeks or so for a very long time the cream is worth it. Only use as directed very little once a week

It is not advisable tk take a antibiotic if you have no infection. Antibiotics are not harmless . They destroy the gut flora which have an important role in our overall health. Which antibiotic did you take?
