Urinating problems

I made a post last week but I feel this needs to be under a new thread topic

My doctor thinks I have IBS (I’m 16) and I’m getting a blood test in a few weeks however I’ve been struggling to urinate, sometimes I can go but not Much will come out or sometimes I can’t at all and then 5 minutes later I can etc so I made an emergency appointment with the doctor and did a Urine test and came back fine and now I’m struggling to go at all. My doctor said to relax and I’ve been trying but I can’t take this much longer and it’s getting really uncomfortable.

I think if you are uncomfortable go back to your Doctor. That is what they are there for. Do tell your Mother too what is happening. Sometimes a warm hot water bottle over your tummy can help to relax you. Try not to worry . Hope this helps.

Hi, Lucy! Sorry you're going through so much, especially at such a young age. The fact that you're having trouble urinating and defecating MIGHT signal a pelvic floor disorder. A gyno or urogyno would he able to tell during a pelvic exam and then refer you to a pelvic floor therapist for treatment. I hope you get the answers and help you need soon.
