Has anyone had stabbing pains in the lower back when having a uti

    Oh yes , if the infection gets really bad it can travel into your kidneys ! Get that checked out right away !

    Not being rude Dilys83010, but you shouldn't leave it too long to see your Dr. If you have it in the back that's a signal from the kidneys saying help!!! Hope you feel better soon.

      I have seen the doc I was just asking as a question as I have had uti before but never had stabbing pains only dull achethank you for your reply

    Yes that is definitely another symptom. I had back pain with urge to pee. No burning
