Urolift 18 months later

I had the urolift procedure about 18 months ago. Lots of pain and blood for 2 weeks. I had to wear pads for 6 months. End results night time urination went from 3-4 times per night to once per night. Urine flow is usually good but there is the occasional long slow trickle. Urgency to urinate is still an issue, not always but more than occasionally. It seems my bladder never completely empties because I still urinate often. In closing my condition is better than before. Would I do it again? Probably yes, only because now my condition is some better and if I had done nothing it probably would have been worse by now. I felt I had to let people know that the tv commercials are misleading. They make it seem like a pain free miracle which it is neither.

Hey Harry
I wore a pad for a couple of day because I did not know what was going to happen. It has been 7 years for me, All is good. Sorry that you are having a problem. I had some pain the first few day but that was it
I would check with the urologist that did the procedure. You may need a couple of more clips.
Take care....Ken

harry...i agree completely. the commercials etc are very mis leading. The urolift procedure is pain full and recovery is not quick for most. Had mine done last Monday and still walking around with a catheter....5days....very unsettling .
fingers crossed when it's removed urin flow will be better then before.
