Urolift after iTind? Staples sink in the grooves?

Posted , 1 user is following.

I had iTind done about a year ago. It was not successful, no improvement in my symptoms.

I am planning on having Urolift done in a month or so, but have one concern.

iTind is supposed to carve grooves into the prostate. Urolift inserts staples that pull the prostate open, but it looks to me like those staples are going to be in the same place as the iTind grooves. I'm concerned that the staples will just sink into the existing grooves and not be effective.

Has anyone here followed an iTind with a Urolift?

I asked my urologist about this, but he doesn't have any personal experience with iTind. He didn't think it would be a problem, but I don't think he really knows.
