UROLIFT Problems

I got the Urolift procedure 5 weeks ago. The first couple of days recovering was brutal. I wasn't prepared for that at all. Thankfully I started feeling a bit better, and at the 2 week point started peeing a little bit better, but still having to pee frequently. Now I'm 5 weeks out and still have the frequent urge to pee. Actually I pretty much have the urge constantly. I sure hope this will get better soon. It's also uncomfortable sitting in a car seat for long. Feels like there's still some swelling. Anyway just curious if anyone else is having similar problems after getting Urolift.

Have you been checked for UTI , Urinary Track Infection? You could have a weakened/stretched bladder if you had BPH a long time. Did you have a Urodynamic test before? If not you might be able to have a Urodynamics test now. You could also have the Post void residual test to see how much urine you retain after urinating. The problem with retaining urine is that it's not long until you have to go again. A cystoscopy might also revel something wrong in the positioning of the clips.

    Good luck,

Checked for UTI all clear. Dr. never said anything about my bladder being stretched or weak. The post void residual test showed my bladder was completely empty. He told me he'd see me in 6 months so guess I wont get any more tests. He did encourage me to be patient that it can take months to completely heal from UROLIFT. Hoping for improvement!
