Urologist Gave Me Erectile Dysfunction?

I'd like to clarify that I'm only 19 and before the appointment I had no issue getting full erections. I have phimosis and it has been troublesome so I made an appointment with an Urologist. I thought I had a growth under my foreskin so he examined my penis while I was under general anesthesia. He said he might circumcise me and do a biopsy if needed to see what it was. He didn't circumcise me, he forcefully retracted my foreskin while I was under general anesthesia which caused my foreskin to tear. It wasn't a growth, just build up due to my inability to retract my foreskin. After I woke up I noticed my foreskin was bleeding due to the tears. He just said to try retracting my foreskin in the shower. It bled off and on that day and made peeing a little painful since I can't retract my foreskin to pee.. I also noticed that my penis felt different. For example, it felt softer / lifeless. My shaft can get hard but my penis head can't anymore, it remains soft. It's like the blood won't flow to the glans when getting an erection. I don't think this is a psychological problem, I think it's physical. I don't know if it's due to nerve damage or a venous leak but I hope this can be reversed / cured without having to rely on Viagra to get an erection or any sort of medication. I don't know what I should do. It's been a couple days since the appointment and I'm stressed out, I don't want to live like this.

You need to work together with the Urologist to sort this out, whatever is going on. Having a general anesthetic just to do what he did sounds rather strange! I think what you need is for the urologist to clearly explain what is happening for you - when the skin was damaged during the procedure were you detailed on what to do to help it heal safely and correctly.
Did you try doing stretches for your phimosis ........... ?

They never gave me any medication nor did they tell me anything other than to try retracting my foreskin in the shower even though that would be difficult due to my injuries. I think my tears have healed but I have bruising, my penis has purple areas at the base. I believe whatever they did caused me to have something called "soft glans syndrome". It's what happens when your penis head remains flaccid while you're erect. I don't think it's fixable and I don't want to rely on medication or have to get a surgery that might not help. I'm basically screwed thanks to incompetent doctors. I put my trust in them and this is what I get. Never again.

How long ago did you have the procedure with the Urologist?

I had it on the tenth of this month

I think this is far too-early to be drawing conclusions on what is going on. Your penis experienced quite some trauma and it can easily take 3, 4 or even more moths for the situation to regulate itself again .......

It shouldn't take several months to function. It's been 9 days and there's no progress. 3-4 months won't make a difference. This isn't something that will just heal on it's own, it has to be corrected.

Oscar, in my experience a few days makes very little difference - you need to be considering what is going on in 3, 4 or even 6 months time ...
Your penis has experienced a trauma this takes time to heal and for functionality to recover, this is not an overnight process ....

Oscar, the best approach with any professional such as a Urologist is to contact them and in a calm manner explain what you have experienced since you had the procedure with them.
As a young man, what you explained is happening with your penis does not make sense, and YES, I understand it is very real to you. Any medical practitioner would ask you to detail what was happening before you saw them, and what has happened since.
Taking a medically relevant history is a standard and VERY necessary practice - you need to understand that you are not a medical expert, therefore you need to allow the Urologist the opportunity to respond to your both experiences with them, and for you, following the procedure.
You would more likely achieve an outcome you would be happier with if you state your experiences with this issue to the urologist in a calm, collected manner. If you feel that you would be unable to do this yourself you could arrange an appointment with the Urologist, then take a trusted senior member of your family, for example, that way you will have an additional witness to the experiences you have had with the urologist - and then it is over to the urologist for what happens next .........
