Today my Rheumatologist told me mine is the most difficult case of RA to treat he's ever come across. I believe my use by date has been exceeded..

That sounds very discouraging but I'm glad you found a doctor that recognizes the seriousness and difficulty of RA.  Hopefully that means they will take extra care with your case and you some good results that will turn things around for you.

That sounds a bit of a downer....

Actually it could be to your advantage if he's the kind of rheumy that likes a challenge. You don't say much about in what way your case is exceptional, so I assume you're just wanting to share the phenomenon and let him get on with it.

I did have the dubious accolade when my RA first manifested of being told I had to act now as it was highly aggressive! Not sure if 'highly aggressive' was a compliment or an insult to the disease! Either way it made me jump to action.

Maybe that's what yours wants of you.

Difficult to treat in as much as no meds have worked so far, aggressive because in less than six months it has spread just wrists and forearms to fingers, thumb, elbow, upper arms, shoulders, neck and now back.   Not looking forward to the next two months and I hate to think what sort of condition I will be in when I finally find a biologic that works, if there is one.
