Use of Decapeptyl CR after Hysteroscopic Myomectomy

I have had the surgery about a week ago and my doctor advised that they couldn't get everything out as the fibroid was about 8cm (initially thought to be 3cm via ultrasound) surgery took 3 hrs already and had to take into consideration patient safety. She said there was some left and recommended Decapeptyl injections to shrink it instead of a 2nd surgery.  Has anyone been in a similar situation?  Mine is a submucous myoma and has caused heavy bleeding which takes weeks despite being controlled with Tranexamic acid.

Hi... I had the same thing. I used decapeptyl for 6 months, my fibroid was 12cm. By the end, it has shrunk to 3.5cm! I then got a hysteroscopic myomectomy which meant they removed some of it in a non invasive way. They had to leave some of it in as it was in the womb wall and it was not safe to remove. I had a period a few weeks later and for first time in over a year... It was completely normal! It stopped when it was supposed to and I didn't have clots at all. Stay positive!
