Using tampons during treatment help???

Currently taking metronidazole for bv/trich and am on the break from my bc pills. Would it be fine to use tampons or would this disrupt the treatment as the bad bacteria may be absorbed by the tampon and stay up there for longer and not killing it ? Or does it not work like this ??

I don’t think it would mess you up more but tampons are not recommend when you have BV issues. It can tend to make your BV worse or cause reoccurrences.

yes. use pads. the blood will change your PH as well as the bacteria will hang out in the tampon. infact if you get reoccurring BV I would consider discontinuing the use of tampons altogether-
