Uterus still large 1 1/2 yrs post-myomectomy... What to do?

Before my surgery, my uterus was the size of a 6 - 7 mth pregnancy. After having a myomectomy (July '17), my uterus shrunk down to the size a 3-mth pregnancy (I'm a 35-yr old female to give you some background about myself).
Doctors have been unable to tell me why my uterus hasn't returned to a normal size. My uterus is still enlarged/heavy and it weighs down on my bladder... not as bad as before the myomectomy but the pressure on my bladder is still there...
Has anyone else that's undergone a myomectomy experienced this? Hasn't it been long enough for my uterus to shrink back to a normal size? And is there anything I can do (holistically) to make it smaller?

hi there
it should probably have shrunk down by now. normally within two months. is it definitely the uterus itself that is large?

hi majesticoj
I have also had a Myomectomy for a very large Fibroid. My tummy is still the size of a 5 month pregnancy. I had the OP on 22.02.18
Gynecologist told me the reason my tummy was large was that I have ate too much which is not right as I am slim everywhere else. he told me only a tummy tuck would shift it. not even a Hysterectomy would go rid of it he said.
I never even considered that my uterus could be large. now I'm wondering if there is a way of getting it measured and if so taking anything to shrink it. please let me know if you do get an answer and I will update also if I do.
hope you get it sorted

I had the same problem. Gyn told me it was because of scar tissue inside the uterus.
Funny but she only told me so AFTER the surgery.
I think they would do us all a favor by minimizing our expectations.
