Hi Dawn, I was like you 7 years ago and was in so much pain .- antibiotics given over and over again but no relief. Turned out it was Interstitial Cystitis (antibiotics don't have any effect). Since then I have taken Pukka Wholistic Aloe Vera tablets - not the ordinary ones - they have to be freeze dried and only the inner leaves used. Also take Serrapetase that helps with the inflammation - 7 years and I am free from pain. Don't forget that Cranberry Juice and Green Tea is NOT recommended for IC as they aggravate the bladder. Good Lick

Sorry you have been suffering for such a long time.  Is your doctor testing your urine with a dipstick in the surgery or sending it away for testing?   If you are in the UK when your urine is sent away for testing the test is more sensitive and the result will tell your doctor exactly what antibiotic you need to take to clear the particular infection (germ) you have.   If your symptoms do not settle ask your doctor to refer you to a urologist. Remember to drink plenty of water, avoid too much fruit and spicy foods and don’t use soap in your delicate areas. Take care.

Hi Dawn, I was like you and kept being prescribed antibiotics that never worked. Eventually I realised I had Interstitial Cystitis and antibiotics do not work with this condition. Since then I have been taking Aloe Vera capsules but not the ordinary ones - they have to be freeze dried and only the middle leaves used (if you buy them from USA they cost 100$ but I get mine (Pukka) for about 15 pounds a bottle from UK. I also take Serrepaptase tablets at the same time - pleased to say I have been clear for 7 years. Remember NOT to take any Cranberry products and NOT to use green tea products as these irritate the bladder. Good Luck

Don't be scared. Just go and see Prof Malone-Lee, leading authority on UTI. Works out of Harley Street or Whittington Trust Hospital NHS, that will be a long wait. Look up info from CUTIC too. U just need some knowledge about this subject.

Sorry your going through this.. But yes this all makes sense.i went through this for months.. ultrasound and all testing came ba k clear..But the little tiny infection just wouldn't go away.i was put on the same antibiotics as you for 3 days 2 x a day followed by one a day for 6 weeks.. I also did the probiotics..I was inserting it...To get it straight to where o needed it. I also need to tell you that stress is a big part of it.. I made myself crazy thinking it was the worse. After they have me my internal test..All the pressure and discomfort went away.. I was embarrassed to tell everyone because they would never believe me if it happened again. But it disappeared..Our mind plays with us . Good luck but wanted to point that out to you.
