Went to the Dr for UTI symptoms. Urine test was positive for glucose, bilirubin, ketones, protein, urobilinogen, nitrite, and leukocytes. They sent it for culture and the result came back as mixed urogenital flora 50,000-100,000 colony forming units per mL. Received a shot of rocephin and a rx for Cipro antibiotic. Nurse called to tell me the culture results were yucky, and the Dr wants me to stop the antibiotic and get scheduled to see my urologist. Can't get in to urologist until Friday, and I'm worried sick. Does anyone know what these results mean?
