Do you have frequency with it, o show bacteria from urine samples, l,d have thouhgt theyd have referred you to urology rather than gyny, though theyve obvously found a gyny problem, but seems to me you need a cystascope to see why yuor having uti,s which could lead to kidney infection also,  l had bladder probs for years, re freuency and pain, intercourse painful also. Also referred to gyny and had laprascope, showed all ok, so symptoms carried on, finally got referral to urologist, xray, scan then scope showed intersticial cystitus, although its really inflammation more than bacteria, but you can still get bacterial infection s along with the inflammation, but only a cystascope can diagnose it.  If you want more info on it, there is a lot on the c.o.b site with forum and advice. c,o,b cystitus and overactive bladder. hope they can help

Sounds very similar Lynn i have my colonostomy in a few hours at this stage im hoping something shows. During my stat in the gny hospital and follow up appointment they were certain it wasnt pid as my tubes ovaries etc look fine from the probe.

I feel like people think its all in my head - next step is to go private as the public waiting lists here in ireland can be over 12 months. I was told i was jusr unlucky with all the kidney infections bacteria has showed up as well a blood.

seems a bit of a coincidence that yuo have chronic bladder probs and bouts of kidney infections. Although our waiting lists are shorter, allegedly 4 month, somewhere near at least, but its getting referral for a start, took me years with bladder problems and suffering, i also pain for 2 private consulations examinations, but picked the wrong specialist, l,d been led astray by gps speaking of gyny problems, hormones, and thought the bladder problem just part of that, so went to gyneacologist, l did go in for laprascope, but had got ill with pain and nausea by that time, l recall after the scope gyneacologist striding in and telling me all was fine, and striding out, l,m laid there more ill than when l went in, l did shout after him  so whats causing my problems, he said we think it might be the bladder, but didnt transger or refer me on, nor did gps, by which time theyd decided it was phycalogical, l know its not pc to complain, but l think the casual or dismissive attitude or system to people who are sufffering long term, and its not common or easy to diagnosee is quite shocking  really, when the suffering and affect of your lifestyle is so badly affected, rant over.  l hope you get some answers today with scope, or on seeing someone private, its always worht it if it improves your health and lifestyle sooner.  Good luck with it.
