The Tamsulosin was to help with prostate problems - did your doctor mention if you had an enlarged prostate?  The Cipro is a quinolone antibiotic and was to clear the infection and the Diclofenac (a NSAID) was to help the Cipro act faster, and maybe to help with pain.  Usually it's not a good idea to take Cipro or any other fluoroquinolone with a NSAID.

Actually it's not a good idea to take a quinolone antibiotic at all as they build up a level of toxicity in your body and if you have another course of Cipro or one of the others (check the leaflet), you can get very ill (see the thread on this forum called fluoroquinolone toxicity syndrome).  There are other antibiotics (e.g. Trimethoprim) that are safer.

I'm not clear whether the sonography result was that your kidneys and bladder are OK.  Did they culture your urine to see what the infection was?  If so,get the results from the doctor so that you know what was causing the infection, and also check if you actually have prostate problems (you don't say how old you are but over 55 you may have trouble).  On the internet you can find ways of treating prostate pain without drugs, using relaxation techniques, as a lot of prostate and pelvic pain is from stress not infection.

I don't know what country you are in but drinking cranberry juice can help.  It's unfortunate that you have no insurance as you really need to find out exactly what's causing the pain and pus.

      Dear Mam,

Thanks for  your prompt response I am 46 yrs male Indian working in UAE.  According to sonography kidney and bladder is okay but the prostrate is little bigger, now it is 17gm but in 2012 when i checked it was 14 gms.  But in urine there is bacterial infection and doctor told dont worry if i take these medicines everything will be perfect. Just consult him after one month only.

PLEASE HELP ME TO COME OUT FROM THIS CRUCIAL SITUATION. WHAT I WORRIED MORE ABOUT IS PUS.

Hi there,  I'm sorry I didn't reply before.  I don't think I can help you, but I see no one else has given an opinion.

It sounds like the doctor is wrong and everything isn't perfect, so I think you will have to go back before the month is finished.  The prostate may be a little large although 16g is at the top of the 'normal' range.

Are you quite sure it is pus, and not a normal secretion?  Has the burning gone or is it still there? Is there anyone you can ask who won't charge you money?

Please be careful NOT to ake any more Cipro, or any other fluoroquinolone antibiotic.  There are other antibiotics that are just as good and less dangerous for you.  If you take more Cipro you may end up very ill from fluoroquinolone toxicity syndrome (which most doctors aren't aware of).  It's very painful and can affect all your joints and muscles, which would mean you can't work. Please look at the discussion about it on this forum( copy fluoroquinolone toxicity syndrome into the search box at the top).  There are many web addresses to look at there.  Tell your doctor you are allergic to Cipro!
