i recently had covid and now i have a uti i was put on macrobid im 4 days in and i dont feel any better im lightheaded and weak my lower back hurts my heart races i just feel ill has anyone with a uti suffer from this or is it post covid symptoms

Hi Tracey - my name is also Tracey and while I haven't had COVID I got my first vaccine 6 weeks ago and a week after this i developed awful UTI symptoms, I was given antibiotics which didn't work. All dip tests were negative for a UTI but I still had horrible symptoms and 5 weeks on I'm still getting these. I've never had UTIs before and I'm currently trying to work out if what I am experiencing is a result of the vaccine, peri-menopause or perhaps I'm just run down. Its really not pleasant and very wearing after this length of time so I'm seeing a consultant next week and I'm really hoping for some answers. I hope you are doing better. T
