UTI, ureaplasma, IC. What am I experiencing?

Hi there I’m writing this as I have symptoms of a urine infection that has persisted for a week or so with antibiotics (trimethoprim). I was diagnosed with a urea plasma infection last year as I was having constant UTI’s that were excruciating every time I had sex. I was prescribed a 12 week course of doxycycline and another type of antibiotic that got rid it fully as there was still some bacteria left. For those months I was taking doxy and after doxy I felt great as my uti had not returned. However, I have been getting twinges since January of burning and urgency. Normally it would go within a couple hours after I drank fluids. However now I have had my first proper uti since 9 months ago. Initially I thought that the ureaplasma has come back but it got me thinking that it could be my IC that My urologist said I could have as I had a cystoscopy that showed bleeding around the bladder and I have all the IC symptoms. This time my stomach is so swollen and I have a huge sense of urgency straight after I’ve gone to the toilet. I also have a stitch like stomach ache with it. Trimethoprim has helped with the stinging when I go to the toilet but otherwise my symptoms remain. My question is could this be IC or could it be ureaplasma coming back? If anyone has had similar experiences you’d be of massive help smile thank you

Bypass everyone and look at CUTIC info and Prof Malone-Lees work. It's as simple as that.
