Were you diagnosed with Atrophic Vaginitis? I am several years post menopausal, also have an anxiety problem for which I take daily medication (plus, I am diabetic) and last year my doctor wanted me to start using a well known hormone cream for vaginal dryness (this is where the Atrophic Vaginitis diagnosis comes in) after being diagnosed with a UTI. I refused, telling my doctor I wanted nothing to do with hormone replacement of any kind. She really got kind of huffy but I stood my ground, having done my research and really feeling alarmed at the possible side effects of the hormone cream.

Instead, I use a popular vaginal moisturizer that comes in a pre-filled applicator inserted into the vagina. This works exceedingly well and I would gently suggest you try that before any creams containing hormones.
