Utrogesten tablet used vaginal- anyone tried ?

Hi

After a few

Im 54 and post menopausal.

I am having a third attempt at taking HRT.

Evorel conti patches caused horrendous cramping and heavy bleeding after a month so I took the patches off.

I tried oestrogen gel and taking 100mg of Utrogesten orally but after 2 months the bleeding and bad cramping returned.

After much personal reading I discovered some women use the Utrogesten vaginally which is off licence. But it can reduce side effects.

My GP was happy for me to try this.

I just wondered if anyone else had tried this and whether you took it everyday or alternate days.

Dr Loiuse Newson recommends alternate days as less is required due to it being placed in the vagina./near cervix
