This is for the ladies like myself that have vaginal discharge and a vaginal odor. I'm using acidolphilus pills vaginally but I haven't seen many results. I still have the discharge but the smell has gone away some. I was using boric acid pills and they were working but idk if I wasn't consistent enough with them. Maybe I'll buy those again but I want a simple remedy please if anybody knows one. I also have vitamin c with rosehip but I'm scared they will burn me.p

I have the odor but not much discharge. Vitamin c with rosehip didn't burn me but only work as long as I take them. I'd say start with half of a tablet if you're afraid of the burn. If it doesn't burn, try a whole one!

I actually make the boric acid pills myself, it's so much cheaper.  I make a ton at a time so i don't have to make them for a few months.  I insert one every night before bed and I am good to go.  If I stop using them for like two days, the BV starts to come back, so i just keep using it.  It's the simplest remedy I have found so far with the least amount of money spent!

Hi where do you buy the powder and capsules to make yourself.

Do u have sex while taking capsules .

Cindy, I do make the suppositories myself.  I think it may be a little dangerous to do yourself.  I got these at a hospital pharmacy.  Most pharmacies do not carry these as they have to be made up, or compounded.

I was told it is better not to have sex while taking these or while having BV.  You can expose your partner to the BV.

The only thing that worked for my daughter consistently was the use of boric acid vaginal suppositories and cutting sugar out of her diet.

As soon as she eats sugar, the imbalance begins and the yeast returns.

lashanda28364.  I have had BV off and on for about a year and a half.  I have been sent to a Gyn, then to a urologist and now back to the Gyn.  I have take many antibiotics and the BV kept coming back.  I am now on the boric acid suppositories.  I believe it is working but have to take them consistently for 3 weeks at bedtime.  I was told not to put anything else in the vagina, not even creams.  I also heard cutting back on sugar helps.  The ones I have were bought at a pharmacy which compounds them.  I do not have the smell that I notice or only a slight thin discharge that is itchy.  Hope this helps.

you can make them yourself...the bottle of powder is like $11 and the empty capsules are about $3 for a pack of 100...I also bought a capsule making machine for $15 (one time charge).  one bottle lasts about 3 bags of capsules.  its so easy and sooooo much cheaper!

Thank you so much. So you used them for 3 weeks and you stopped or are you still using them?

I have only used them for about a week.  I am told I need to use them for 3 weeks so that the Ph level can be balanced.  That is the main problem with BV.  Your Ph level gets out of whack - the good bacteria vs the bad.  I have to say that everyone should first see their Gynecologist.

Yes I know all of that. I've had bv for 7 yrs. I'm gonna start the rose hips pills tonight since I have them and if that doesn't work I'll buy more boric acid pills. Thank you so much!!

You can buy them ready made on Amazon.  It is such a senstive part of your body I would recommend something that has passed quality control.  Control the sugar in your diet.  That is so important.
